Couples Are Now Passing Up Honeymoons For “Many-Moons”
Would you trade in your honeymoon for “many-moons?”
There’s a new report that just surfaced and you know us, we love our reports. The report says that more and more couples are forgoing the big two-week break, and opting instead for several shorter trips, a.k.a. “many-moons.”
After you get your big day over with, taking a short break to wind down and relax doesn’t seem like enough. There are a variety of reasons why couples are opting for such short trips.
One positive to having many-moons versus honeymoons is that it allows them to have more one-on-one time together. Another plus to it is that multiple short trips can help keep things fun, and gives you something to look forward to. Amy Shey Jacobs, a wedding planner with Chandelier Events, say that most young couples have “Millennial Wanderlust” and want to do a lot of travel. Shorter trips help make that a reality.
Of course, there is also the more practical reason as to why the idea of “many-moons” is catching on and that’s because it’s harder for couples to get away from work, especially for an extended period of time.
