Play Anything Day 2018: Meet DJ JJ!
DJ J.J. in the house!
Meet Jaxon Jones!
He visited us this morning for our 7th Annual Play Anything Day all the way from Columbia, South Carolina. Columbia isn’t just around the corner, he traveled for this! It’s the same drive he and his family make just so they can go to Levine Children’s Hospital. That’s how much trust they have in Levine.
Jaxon was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor in December 2017 and had surgery to resect it in late January of this year, in Columbia. This surgery caused weakness in his lower extremities and Jaxson spent 6-7 weeks on Levine Children’s Hospital’s Inpatient Rehabilitation floor.
Levine Children’s Hospital is the area’s ONLY in-patient pediatric rehabilitation pavilion. Families like Jaxon’s travel from across the region to receive this specialized care.
Jaxon became quite the celebrity during his time at the hospital, and after his visit this morning on MRL, we now know why. His fellow patients call him DJ JJ and he loves to Whip & Nay Nay!
That’s right – we ditched the format today for Play Anything Day and are playing ANY of your favorites. Hip-hop, rock, classical…you donate to Levine Children’s Hospital and we’ll play it!
Help us help these kids!
