Demi, Ari, Miley And More Perform At March For Our Lives
DC’s March For Our Lives brought out a ton of celebrity support over the weekend.
The emotion, support and passion were definitely present on Saturday as hundreds of thousands of people marched to protest for better gun control laws. Many celebrities showed up in support of the students and a few even performed.
Demi Lovato performed her hit “Skyscraper.” Ari, who experienced gun violence first-hand at a past concert of hers, performed “Be Alright,” while Miley performed “The Climb.” She stated, “this song has never felt more special” before beginning her emotional performance.
Andra Day performed her tune “Rise Up” as well as “Stand Up For Something” with Common. Lin-Manuel and Ben Platt also performed their mashup “Found Tonight.”
Empathetic Jennifer Hudson ended the day with a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Times They Are A Changin’.” A few years ago Hudson lost her mother and brother to gun violence. In a CNN Interview she says, “it is impossible to understand what the victims, the families, are going through, what they feel, or even to be able to relate to a situation like this unless you’ve been in it.”
It was a monumental event. Having the celebrities present made it that much more powerful. Check out some of the videos and pics from the march below!

Martin Luther King’s granddaughter Yolanda Renee King got on the stage and had a few words to say as well. “I have a dream that enough is enough,” says the 9-year-old while smiling from ear-to-ear. Many of the students marching shared their message with the crowd as well.
