Drake Delays Release Date ‘For All The Dogs’
Drake will no longer be releasing For All The Dogs on Friday (Sept. 22). The rapper took to his Instagram Story on Saturday (Sept. 16) to announce that the album has been delayed.
“Okay, my dilemma I am faced with is I either cancel [the]show to finish the album or I complete the mission and drop the album before the last show,” Drake wrote. “I owe you all these memories we are building and anywhere we have missed to date we will be spinning back for sure.”
“For All the Dogs October 6th it’s only right,” he concluded.
Drake’s last date for the It’s All A Blur Tour is in Columbus, Ohio on Oct. 9.
In addition to his Instagram Story post, he also edited the caption on his album artwork for the project.

This is not the first time that Drake fans have been let down about the highly anticipated For All The Dogs.
On Aug. 25, during his tour stop in Seattle, Climate Pledge Arena, posted a video of Drake addressing the fact that the album did not drop at midnight. Many fans believed that it was going to be out that day.
“I know everybody’s upset that I didn’t drop an album last night. I didn’t say it was dropping last night. So don’t be mad at me,” he told the audience. “I just said it was coming soon.”
“It’s not going to be that much longer, trust me. I’m finishing it up,” he continued. “You know I got shows, everybody. But I promise you, For All the Dogs is on the way. I promise you, this album will be for you. I promise you it will be worth the wait,” he added.
However, fans did get a preview of what to expect on For All The Dogs after he released “Slime You Out” on Friday. The song features SZA in the superstar’s first collaboration together. Listen to “Slime You Out” below:
