North Carolina City Was Named #1 For College Basketball Fans
If you’re a basketball fan then you are thrilled that it’s finally March. Can you believe it’s been two years since we’ve had ourselves a March Madness? Crazy! As the NCAA tournament prepares to begin, WalletHub conducted a study where they compared nearly 300 cities across the country, ranking them overall as well as by population size, to determine which city is the best for college basketball!
Being born and raised in North Carolina, if you were to ask me at any given time what state would win for “best for college basketball,” then without a doubt I’d answer North Carolina. I mean…home of UNC, Duke and NCSU? Of course, NC. But UNC is in Chapel Hill…Duke is in Durham, and NCSU is in Raleigh…so if I had to just guess based on cities…I’d say either Chapel Hill or Durham.
So what actually took the #1 spot with WalletHub? Durham! But Chapel Hill wasn’t far behind them, claiming the #7 spot. Sixteen North Carolina cities made the Top 300 list…including Raleigh, and Charlotte!
Here’s the NC cities who made the cut:
- Durham (1)
- Chapel Hill (7)
- Buies Creek (25)
