Lady Gaga Teases New Album LG7 With Countdown
Lady Gaga is building excitement for her new album with a countdown timer on her official website. Naturally, fans are eager to learn more, especially the release date.
In an interview with Vogue, the “Bad Romance” singer confirmed that the lead single, “Disease,” was released on October 25, 2024. Gaga first hinted at the album, called LG7, in May 2024 after finishing her Chromatica Ball tour. At the end of a TV special, the words “LG7 Gaga Returns” appeared on the screen, fueling fan speculation. This album follows Harlequin, which was tied to Joker: Folie à Deux.
On her website, the countdown timer also hides a clue—“LG1”—and it’s set to end on January 27, 2024, at 11 AM EST.
Gaga has said this new album will be very different from her past work. During the Chromatica Ball Premiere, the House of Gucci actress explained, “I love to break genre, and I love to explore music. There’s something beautiful about knowing that you will be loved no matter what you do.”
While LG7 will mostly focus on pop, Gaga told Vogue that her fiancé, Michael Polansky, encouraged her to return to the genre. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, she described the album as “full of [her] love of music” and said it mixes many styles and ideas. “It leaps around genre in a way that’s almost corrupt. And it ends with love,” she said. “That’s the answer to all the chaos in my life is that I find peace with love.”
