North Carolina Named One Of The Best States To Work From Home
A few years ago, many of us were working from home during the peak of the pandemic and a lot of workplaces have allowed employees to keep doing it, at least part-time. While some folks love working remotely, it’s not for everyone, and it turns out, how positive or negative the experience is may depend on where they live. And a new report reveals the states with the most ideal conditions for working from home. Good news! North Carolina made the top 10 list of states to work from home!
WalletHub has just released its annual report on the Best States for Working from Home. They rated the 50 states and Washington, D.C. on 12 key metrics in the main areas of Work Environment and Living Environment. They looked at everything from a state’s cyber security to Internet costs to average home square footage and more.
This year’s best state for working from home is New Jersey, which is number two for the work environment and 13th for the living environment. Utah, second overall, is number one for Living Environment, while Washington, D.C., fifth overall, is first for Work Environment. Alaska comes in last, making it the worst state for working from home. It’s dead last for the Work Environment and 47th for the Living Environment lol.
North Carolina had a total score of 57.14th for the work environment and 17th for living. I couldn’t work from home, I’m so distracted it would be hard for me to focus. Then again it’s hard for me to focus at work too hahaha!
