BTW I did a little research
The first recorded mention of Valentine’s Day with romantic love comes from the writings of Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th century. In his poem “Parliament of Fowls,” Chaucer links Valentine’s Day with the mating season of birds:
“For this was on seynt Volantynys day Whan euery bryd comyth there to chese his make.”
(For this was on Saint Valentine’s Day When every bird comes there to choose his mate.) One of my favorite passages haha!
From then on, Valentine’s Day became increasingly associated with romantic love. After that, the tradition of exchanging love notes and tokens became popular in Europe. Today, Valentine’s Day is celebrated around the world as a day to express love and affection for one’s romantic partners, friends, and family members.
