A new report ranks U.S. cities on an unexpected metric - how sexy they are. PinkCherry’s 12th annual edition of America’s Sexiest Cities has just come out and it’s pretty steamy. Locally, Charlotte is the 39th sexiest city according to Pink Cherry's new poll. One of the items on the list that surprised me was Charlotte is 192 on the list for lingerie sales. We are however almost top 100 in "vibe" sales!
As for our South Carolina friends, Columbia came in at #460. The cities favorite flavor is candy apple, and wrist and ankle cuffs were a top purchase as well!
The online retailer for "sexual health and wellness products" bases their list on customer purchases made during 2023. These items are otherwise known as "sex toys!" Haha. Along with their top 10 sexiest cities, PinkCherry also gives some specific titles to cities based on sales there. Some of them are too spicy to mention on the radio, but the ones we mentioned on air are:
- Brooklyn, New York, has been named the “Cuffed-up Capital,” for being the city that bought the most handcuffs and restraints last year.
- Las Vegas is the “Most Controlling City,” for buying the most app- and remote-controlled couples toys.
- The “Discreet District” is Los Angeles, for the most discreet sex toys purchased.
