Bakery In Charlotte Best In North Carolina For Holiday Treats
I think it was two years ago that I discovered the pure joy of Suarez Bakery. Phil brought me some cookies from the bakery for Hanukkah, and they were some of the best cookies I’ve ever had! If you’ve never been to this Charlotte gem, you need to go. And the holiday season is the perfect time! Suarez Bakery, located in the Park Road Shopping Center, is ranking number 1 for holiday desserts in North Carolina.
According to The News & Observer, Suarez Bakery in Charlotte is at the top of the list for holiday sweets. Yelp has given it the top slot and if you’ve had their goodies, you get it. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the bakery, but I follow them on Instagram, and I love seeing their posts. Everything they make looks delicious! I love that they have a ‘cupcake’ flavor of the month. By the way, if you’re a cupcake fan, for December they’re offering a Christmas tree cupcake as the flavor of the month and a Gingerbread cupcake. I LOVE gingerbread, so I must get over there!

Every year I buy gingerbread men cookies for the holidays for myself! I love them! And it wasn’t until I was reading info on Suarez in The News & Observer that I realized they have them! I gotta order some! In addition to their cupcakes and gingerbread cookies, Suarez Bakery has some of the most gorgeous holiday cookies you’ll ever see. They’re almost too pretty to eat! Sometimes, when a treat looks so perfect, it lacks in flavor. NOT the case with the goodies from Suarez. Their items taste as amazing as they look!
One of their most popular items for the holidays is their Shortbread Wreath cookies. Buttery cookies with just the right amount of vanilla. These are perfect for any holiday gathering as they look so elegant.
Although I’ve only had their cookies, I’ve heard rave reviews about the beautiful cakes Suarez makes and I’ve heard their Cuban bread is tasty! Following their Instagram page is a treat in itself as they post gorgeous things!
Suarez Bakery opened in Charlotte in 1992, and they have two locations: one in Optimist Hall and one on Park Road. The Park Road Shopping Center location is the one that Yelp is naming number 1 in North Carolina for holiday desserts. It’s also the only one I’ve been to.
