North Carolina Man Punched By Mike Tyson Wants Revenge
The guy who got the beatdown from Mike Tyson on a JetBlue flight wants nearly half a million bucks after messing with the former heavyweight on the flight. The lawyer for Melvin Townsend sent Tyson’s lawyers a “pre-litigation settlement demand” for “injuries and damages,” the New York Post reports. Townsend’s lawyers claim the North Carolina man suffered injuries when Tyson “viciously assaulted him” on a flight from San Francisco to Florida in April of last year.
The $480-thousand pre-litigation settlement would cover Townsend’s ongoing medical care, medication, and therapy for PTSD. However, Tyson’s attorney Alex Spiro says there will be no payout. “I have received a shakedown letter related to some instigator’s harassment of Mike a year ago and the aftermath,” Spiro said, adding, “There will be no shakedown payment.”

Tyson had an impressive career and was known for his early success. “Iron Mike” became the youngest heavyweight champion in history. He won his first 37 professional fights by knockout. Many of those butt kickings occurring in the first few rounds.
Tyson’s career included notable wins over opponents like Larry Holmes, Michael Spinks, and British Heavyweight Frank Bruno. His peak years were in the late 1980s, but he faced setbacks and controversies in the 1990s. After his release from prison in the mid-1990s, Tyson continued to fight, but his later career was marked by both victories and defeats.
One fight I remember like it was yesterday is his first loss. An unknown fighter named Buster Douglas knocked him out in the 10th round.
This whole case is Interesting. This North Carolina man who was assaulted by Mike Tyson is in for a fight of his own! There’s no way this case won’t go to trial right? I mean neither side is going to back down here.

“Kevin!!” “Home Alone” is the holiday favorite in my house, according to my 10 year old son. It’s also the favorite movie in 4 states. California, Idaho, Louisiana and Maryland.

The black and white classic is tops in 3 states. I don’t love this movie, but South Carolina, Illinois, and Wyoming do. It’s a long movie and kids these days aren’t looking to sit and watch for 2 plus hours.

Let’s get that out It takes place during Christmas, but it literally could take place any time of year. “A Nightmare Before Christmas,” A “Charlie Brown Christmas,” “The Grinch,” and “Christmas Vacation” were all the tops in one state each. Hawaii loves “A Christmas Carol.”
