Hey y'all, it's time for another edition of Dishin' With Debbie and Mrs. T's Pierogies.  This time I thought we'd highlight the delicious simplicity of those soft, pillowy pasta pockets we love so much.  This Classic Pierogies With Butter And Onions is the way Mrs. T's Pierogies are meant to be enjoyed.  I absolutely love caramelized onions in butter.  And, when you factor in the fluffy whipped potato and cheese filling of Mrs. T's Pierogies, it's a win-win.

The recipe really allows for tasting all the pierogies have to offer.  But, I went ahead and did a basic saute of purple cabbage with a splash of apple cider vinegar with tart green apples as a bed to present the Classic Pierogies With Butter And Onions.  The crunch of the fresh cabbage with apples and the splash of vinegar brightens the dish and cuts through the decadent richness.

And, top off with a sprinkle of fresh thyme and a dollop of sour cream.  It doesn't get better than this for a quick weeknight meal for the family.  It's comfort food to the max.  Use any variety of Mrs. T's Pierogies  you like.  There's quite a selection to choose from in the freezer section of your favorite grocery store.  So, grab a box and play around with the flavors and experiment with incorporating Mrs. T's Piergoies into your favorite dishes.
