It’s finally open. Let’s go inside the newest and most amazing venue in the world, the Las Vegas Sphere. Before we do, I can’t tell you how stoked I am that this has finally opened. Based on everything I’ve seen on TikTok, it immerses you in an experience like nothing else.
So, What Is It?
The Sphere is located at the Venetian Resort and neighbors the famous Las Vegas Strip. When you were a kid, did you ever go to a Planetarium and learn about stars and planets? Remember how cool that was in the 90s? That’s what this venue reminded me of, only you can experience it while watching your favorite band perform with an adult beverage in hand.
An Experience Like Nothing Else
Everything about this music venue stands out from the seating capacity to the cutting-edge technology that went into the making of it. To me, it doesn’t look big, but it has a total of 18,600 seats and provides an experience like no other venue can for every single person. Viewers or concertgoers will be astonished at the enormous 16K resolution wrap-around LED screen that completely surrounds the audience with breathtaking visuals. With these visual effects comes an audio experience that is equally amazing and 4D physical effects should tickle your senses even more.
Size Matters
The Sphere itself is an architectural masterpiece. We can all at least draw a perfect circle with a ruler, but the amount of detail that goes into building a circle is amazing. It rests at 580,000 square feet and is completely covered in LED displays. You should see what they can do with those displays below.
It Came Full Circle
Construction on it began in 2019 and it was supposed to be completed in 2021. The pandemic and effects that trickled down from the pandemic delayed construction. It finally opened for the opening of U2’s Las Vegas residency on September 29th and that’s also when the first images and videos of what goes on inside started surfacing on social media.
