Chicken & "Waffles" Pierogies

My love for Mrs. T's Pierogies continues with another edition of "Dishin' With Debbie."  And, I love spice.  So, this time around we feature Mrs. T's Garlic and Parmesan Pierogies as a base for "Chicken & 'Waffles' Pierogies."  The recipe uses the pierogies where we normally expect to find the waffle in the iconic dish.  And, although the original recipe called for making chicken tender from scratch, I took a shortcut with frozen air fried tenders.  It was a true time saver.  And, they baked successfully right alongside the pierogies in the oven.  Then, the sauce came together in minutes.  It's a spicy mix of maple syrup with a little hot honey warmed up on the stove and drizzled on the dish.

And, this was so delicious.  I think it's a great weeknight meal the family would love.  It comes together so quickly.  Plus, the kids love chicken tenders.  You probably already have them in your freezer anyway!  So, the Mrs. T's Pierogies are soft, pillowy pasta pockets filled with fluffy whipped potatoes and cheeses.  And, preparation includes sauteeing, frying, boiling, grilling or oven baking.  These puffed up so beautifully for this dish.  I hope you love it as much as we did.  So, make sure you pick up a box of Mrs. T's Pierogies in the freezer section of your favorite grocery store!
