Taylor Swift Announces 1989 (Taylor’s Version)
Swifties called it ahead of time, that Taylor Swift would announce 1989 (Taylor’s Version) next, and boy were they right!
In the 8th month of the year, on the 9th day of that month…she did it!
On the closing show of the first leg of her US Eras tour in SoFi stadium, Taylor took the mic before she began the acoustic set of her show and talked about how much fun the tour has been, and how reclaiming her music has been so monumental to her. She then turned around to the big screen where she revealed not only the album, the cover art, but also the release date.

After her announcement, she sang the remaining song left from 1989 that she has not performed as part of her setlist or a secret song: New Romantics. Her second secret song was New Year’s Day.
SoFi Stadium took it to the next level by letting the world (and the aliens iykyk) about it.

Safe to say, Taylor knows how to go out with a bang!
A lot of celebrities, of course, showed up throughout the six nights she performed in L.A. but some of the ones that were at night 6 included: Emily Blunt & John Krasinski, Becky G, Halsey, Sydney Sweeney, Adam Sandler, Sadie Sink, Hilary Duff, Karlie Kloss, Anya Taylor Joy, Malcolm McRae, Miles & Keleigh Teller, Emma Stone and Damien Chazelle.
Wait…theres more!
Starbucks is brewing up something new…a special playlist thats all about Taylor Swift! In celebration of Taylor completing the first segment of her Eras tour, the coffee giant will be playings its new “Starbucks Lovers” playlist in some of its stores in the U.S.
In case you didn’t catch the joke, the “Starbucks Lovers” playlist name is a nod to Swift’s song “Blank Space.” Many of Swift’s fans misheard the lyrics “Got a long list of ex-lovers” as “All the lonely Starbucks lovers” when the track first came out.
This playlist is…long, with 122 of Swift’s tracks. Starbucks also suggested brand new Taylor-Swift-based nicknames for some of its most popular drinks (see below).
