Lunchables Get Healthier By Adding Fresh Fruit
Lunchables have been around since 1989 and they’ve been making kids happy and saving parents time for decades. While they’re convenient and kid-approved, now the lunchbox staples are trying to be healthier, too. Lunchables are now going to come with fresh fruit.
The company has just announced that they’re teaming up with Del Monte Produce to add pineapple, clementines, grapes and apples to the packs. The debut of Lunchables with Fresh Fruit comes after a 500% increase over the last year for social media searches for “Lunchables with fruits and vegetables,” according to the brand. And they’re hitting stores just in time for back-to-school lunches.
We’ll find Lunchables with Fresh Fruit in produce sections of grocery stores, first in the South-Central region of the country, where schools are already back in session or will be soon. The fruit will be included in two of Lunchables’ best-selling varieties – Turkey and Ham Cracker Stackers.
