Travel options are pretty much endless and Americans are eager to go, with research showing 80% of American adults are planning to take some sort of road trip this summer. Deciding on a destination can be tough, but a new report may help you narrow it down.
- WalletHub has just released its list of 2023’s Best and Worst States for Summer Road Trips.
- They compared all 50 states across 32 key metrics to find the most fun, scenic and budget-friendly road-trip destinations.
- The states were ranked on factors including the average gas prices, the cost of a hotel room, traffic congestion, number of attractions, theme parks and zoos, as well as summer weather.
- Based on all of that, Texas tops the list as the best state for a road trip this summer. It scores in the top 10 for both activities and cost.
- Rhode Island comes in dead last, making it the worst state for a summer road trip.
