Taylor Lautner’s Hilarious Reaction To Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Vampire’
Olivia Rodrigo’s recent announcement of her highly-anticipated new music has sent fans into a frenzy. The 20-year-old singer posted a black-and-white pic of herself showing a side profile with purple band-aids crisscrossed on her neck.
“My new song ‘vampire’ is out june 30th! you can pre-save now. so excited for this ahhhhh!!!!!!!” Rodrigo captioned the shot. While fans shared their excitement in the comments section, with people writing things like, “This is the best day of my life,” and “THE OLIVIA DROUGHT IS OVER.” This marks Rodrigo’s first time making new music since the 2021 release of her hit debut album, Sour. The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star won three Grammys for the album and topped numerous charts.
Hilariously, Twilight star Taylor Lautner, who famously played the wolf Jacob Black in the vampire franchise, commented on the post, “K WHO TF BIT YOU.” Even the official Twilight account chimed in, commenting, “been waiting for this day!!!!! [bawling tears emoji] dreams really do come true.”
Rodrigo leaned into the Twilight fandom, reposting a meme from the first film by her best friend, fellow musician Conan Grey. With its iconic teal-tone, the meme featured Kristen Stewart’s Bella Swan telling Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen: “I know what you are.” Cullen, who is a vampire, replies: “Say it. Out loud. Say it.” Then, Bella says, “olivia rodrigo’s new single.”
It didn’t end there. She also posted a funny TikTok, quoting Lautner’s Jacob as a friend asks, “Bella, where the hell have you been, loca?” before cutting to Rodrigo in the recording studio. “pre-save vampire lololol,” she captioned the clip, which featured The Weeknd’s “The Hills.”
In another post on Instagram, fans believe Olivia left another hint at new music. With a selfie in which the musician shows a lipstick kiss on a mirror and the caption: “bang bang kiss kiss,” fans believe she’s teasing a collaboration with Lana Del Rey since she quoted her “Venice Bitch” song.
