The best hot dog in South Carolina is in Mt. Pleasant
The best hot dog in all of South Carolina is right in Mt. Pleasant! Move out of the way Charleston, it’s time for another town to make the list!
I know, I know. Spring just started and we’re already looking forward to summer. Why’s that? Because summertime means sunshine and hot dogs.
I’m all about finding new places. All of these surveys of finding the best type of food in each state have me thinking we should put together a North Carolina ‘Best Of’ road trip. Hot dogs are one of those classic foods. I’ve been to places where they try to do a gourmet-style dog and it just isn’t the same. Maney will agree with me on this one but there’s just something about good ole street meat. Yes, you were supposed to laugh at that.
How did we find the best hot dog in North Carolina? Mashed compiled a list based on reviews and the results are in!
Pulliam’s BBQ won the top spot for North Carolina. Not only can you get a classic hot dog but you can get some of the best barbeque in the state too. That sounds like a win-win to me! Pulliam’s is in Winston-Salem and has been around since 1910, which Mashed took as a good indicator that they know what they’re doing!
Jack’s Cosmic Dogs won the top spot for South Carolina. They’ve won numerous awards and nominations over the years. As if the awards and the reviews aren’t enough to convince you, Food Network star Alton Brown even said they were the best dogs he ever ate!
