Man Drops Ring During Bungee Jumping Proposal
A man drops a wedding ring during a bungee jumping proposal. A guy in Scotland made an epic fail while proposing to his girlfriend. But it wasn’t actually as bad as it seemed. Marc Watson planned an elaborate, adventurous engagement to Gayle Robertson that included them going bungee jumping. But before the couple took the plunge, Watson dropped the ring to the ground far below.
“I got down on one knee and all the emotions came out of Gayle,” Watson recalls. “She was so surprised, which quickly turned to shock when I dropped the ring 130 feet below us.” What Gayle didn’t know? That it was all part of a prank her boo had planned and the ring he fumbled was actually a fake.
Footage of the debacle is now going viral online and Marc has been dubbed “Mr. Butterfingers” for the stunt. The event didn’t get the reaction he was hoping for. He says Gayle didn’t find the prank amusing because she was already terrified about the bungee jump. He quickly pulled out the real ring and popped the question properly and she forgave him enough to say “yes.” The newly engaged couple then braved the bungee jump and Marc says. “On the way back down we already had a date in our minds for the wedding.”
