The Cheap Way To Update Christmas Ornaments
Looking for a way to update your Christmas ornaments but don’t want to spend big bucks? We don’t blame you, things have gotten so expensive, and any dollar you can save makes a difference. Plus, the ornaments you have may be filled with nostalgic and great childhood memories – it makes sense if you don’t want to trash them. So how can you give them new life? TikTok’s got a great hack for you.
First, you need to make sure the ornaments you want to give new life to have detachable tops. Next, you need a pair of scissors, regular-sized balloons, and any other crafty elements like glitter or crystals you may want to use as extra decoration.
What do you do now? Cut off the mouthpiece of the balloon with the scissors, but be sure not to blow into the balloon. Wrap the deflated balloon around the ornament, twisting the edges at the top, and then screw the top of the ornament back on. If you need to trim a little at the top, that’s OK!
Once that’s done, add the glitter, crystals, rhinestones, or whatever extra décor you have to take your ornament to the next level. The ornament is ready to hang on the tree! When it’s time to put it back into storage, you can either keep the balloon on for extra protection or you can pull the balloon off.
