I was just reading a story the other day about America’s fascination with true crime.  I can’t recall the exact percentage, but something like 70% of those surveyed say they enjoy watching and following it.  You can increase that number to 100% in our house.  This is especially true when the event takes place close to home.  Which leads to the transcript of this 911 call from 2021.  “Hampton County 911.  What’s your emergency?  I need the police and an ambulance immediately.  My wife and child have been shot badly!  4147 Moselle Road…this is Alex Murdaugh!  Thus began one of the strangest and most tragic tales of a powerful family’s downfall in the Low Country of South Carolina.

November 3is when “Low Country: The Murdaugh Dynasty,” will begin streaming on HBO Max.  The documentary is a three-part, deep dive into the sensational murder case involving a South Carolina’s legal family dynasty.  If you are unfamiliar with this case, get ready to strap in for a wild ride.  The twists and turns with this family in general and lawyer Alex Murdaugh will leave your jaw on the floor more than once.  Currently, Murdaugh is awaiting trial, accused of fatally shooting his wife and his 21-year-old son Paul on the night of June 7, 2021.
