Six Out Of 50 Of The ‘World’s Best Bars’ Are In New York
The annual 50 World’s Best Bars list is out and New York and London no longer have a grip on the top spot. For the first time since the list began in 2009, another city is number one. Mediterranean-style speakeasy Paradiso in Barcelona, Spain moved up from number three to grab the position. Barcelona also has two other bars in the top 10, while London is in the second spot. New York City rebounded from a bad 2021 to have the most bars in the top 50 with six.
- Paradiso, Barcelona (Winner: Best Bar in Europe)
- Tayēr + Elementary, London
- Sips, Barcelona (Winner: Highest Climber)
- Licorería Limantour, Mexico City (Winner: Best Bar in North America, Legend of the List)
- Little Red Door, Paris (Winner: Sustainable Bar Award)
- Double Chicken Please, New York (Winner: Highest New Entry)
- Two Schmucks, Barcelona
- The Connaught Bar, London
- Katana Kitten, New York
- Alquímico, Cartegena (Winner: Best Bar in South America)
When it comes to the top 100 bars, New York has nine on that list. They are all below:
- The Dead Rabbit
- Mace
- Bar Goto
- Double Chicken Please
- Katana Kitten
- Attaboy
- Overstory
- Dante
- Employees Only
I’m unsure about you guys, but this has me wanting to go to New York this fall/winter and visit all of these bars!
