I first saw this go viral on Instagram earlier this week. If you are lucky enough to find your doppelgange,r you might have similar DNA. Maney and I were looking at pairs of people who found their “brother from another mother”  and man was it scary! Not only did these people look alike but they were built alike too!

According to the Daily Mail, a new study from the Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute in Barcelona is showing that people that look alike have similar DNA. The study used 32 lookalike couples who had been photographed by Francois Brunelle, a Canadian artist who’s been taking pictures of  lookalikes since 1999.

After the researchers compared the results of DNA tests on the pairs, they found that the couples shared similar genetic makeups. The results of the study were released just after researchers had revealed that the chance of finding your doppelganger is one in a trillion.
