Until they could locate her owners, Kevin was placed into the care of the Caldwell County Animal Care Enforcement Division. When they located the owners, they found out that they live more than 30 miles away in Moravian Falls. Turns out that the emu had been missing for over a month after she was scared by a neighbor’s dog.
The owners plan to build a bigger fence at home to help keep her safe and contained to try and avoid this from happening again!
