Measles Cases Are Ramping Up Worldwide

CNN reports that cases are up 79-percent around the world. The United Nations warns this could trigger larger outbreaks of other diseases this year, affecting millions of children. Officials say the pandemic has interrupted vaccination campaigns and overwhelmed hospitals, creating a perfect storm. They predict yellow fever could be next after rising cases in west Africa.
The key to keeping it in check, say experts, is vaccinations.
