The Best Restaurants For Outdoor Dining In The Carolinas
It’s officially time for outdoor dining! If there’s one thing I’ve learned from living in North Carolina my entire life it’s that Summer comes right in the middle of what should be Spring and then just overstays its welcome. Both Carolinas are like this actually! We’ve been having highs in the 80s and today even 90 but one good of the good things about April and May is that you get a little rest period in the afternoon and early evening that make for great outdoor dining weather.
LoveFood did the hard work for us and found the best restaurant in each state for outdoor dining.
Let’s cut to the chase. Here are the winners!
North Carolina
- Sunset Terrace at The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville
LoveFood says, “The terrace looks over the sprawling Blue Ridge Mountains and is most special when (you guessed it) the sun sets over the peaks leaving them bathed in a glorious yellow glow. Visitors can soak up the panoramas as they browse an elegant menu of Scottish salmon, seared diver scallops, prime filet mignon, and Carolina shrimp cocktail for starters.”
South Carolina
- Jasmine Porch on Kiawah Island
LoveFood says, “Jasmine Porch is revered for nourishing Lowcountry cuisine whipped up by Chef de Cuisine Kyle Bowling. The restaurant’s pride and joy is their signature dish: shrimp and grits with a tomato gravy and Tasso ham and you can have it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. A table on the porch offers views of lush gardens and the pool at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, where the restaurant is located.”
