Museum Is Collecting Boomboxes To Create A Sculpture
The Montgomery Museum of Fines Arts in Alabama wants your old boombox.
WSFA is reporting that the museum is putting together a new sculpture in its sculpture garden and needs about 500 of the vintage music players. It’s called “Got the Power: Boomboxes.” It celebrates the importance of boomboxes in urban communities and pop culture. The sculpture is expected to be about 14-feet tall and eight-feet wide.
The museum is also taking stories and song ideas for the exhibit.
