The Best Bread in North Carolina Is At This Restaurant
One of the best parts about going out to eat at a restaurant is the basket full of warm bread that gets served to you before your meal. The real trick is to only eat one piece and not get full before you actually get your main course. But we’ll master that one another time.
One of our favorite websites, Eat This, Not That!, made it their mission to find the best bread served in restaurants in each state. First things first…how do we get this job!? According to the site, “To help guide you in making better bread choices, we put together a list of some of the best restaurant bread out there. From fresh crusty bread with butter to piping hot loaves served with delicious spreads, here’s where to find the best restaurant bread in every state.”
Are you hungry yet? We sure are! So which North Carolina restaurant took the number one spot for the entire state? We wish we could tell you it’s local and here in Charlotte, but you’ll have to drive a couple of hours for this experience. Raleigh took the top spot with their restaurant, Sitti.
The restaurant is located in downtown Raleigh at 137 S. Wilmington Street.
Here’s what Eat This, Not That! had to say:
“Warm pita takes center stage at Sitti, the Raleigh restaurant that makes some of the best Mediterranean dishes in the state. One reviewer thinks so highly of the sought-after bread that they wrote that ‘the bread is enough of a reason to stop and eat.”
YUM! So that does it for North Carolina, but you know we can’t talk about North Carolina without bringing in South Carolina.
So what South Carolina restaurant has the best bread in the entire state? This one is closer to us here in Charlotte!
Alodia’s Cucina Italiana in Columbia takes the number one spot!
