Wife Pregnant After Hubby Cooked Meals To Boost Fertility
A couple who desperately wanted to have kids, but hadn’t had luck getting pregnant yet, used an unconventional approach to boost fertility. The New York Post reports that Rach Sullivan’s doctors told her she could have an issue that affects her fertility, but they didn’t offer much in the way of solutions. “When the only doctor recommendation we were given was to go on birth control, we turned to food as medicine,” she explains.
Rach’s husband Tom started doing research to see how tweaks to her diet could help balance her hormones. She says he even put a chart on their fridge with a list of all the ingredients that sync with the different phases of her menstrual cycle. It was his handy guide to grocery shopping and every week he would whip up fun new ways to combine the ingredients. Tom also started an Instagram account to document what he cooked and their fertility journey, as well as share his recipes.
It’s been a few months of Rach eating this way and the couple is now expecting their miracle baby! And she credits Tom’s special meals with helping her infertility. After Rach got pregnant, he switched up his cooking and instead of making dishes that balance her hormones, he’s making things with foods that are the same size as their baby. The week when the baby was the size of a lime, he made Rach a mocktail jalapeño margarita and when the baby was the size of a peach, Tom baked up a peach crumble. She loves what he does in the kitchen and says, “It’s actually adorable.” And their followers on social media are loving it too: “This is the most wholesome content on the whole Internet,” writes one.
