With prices rising just in time for holiday shopping, it’s a good idea to have a solid plan to curb that spending.
According to Today, the trick to holiday spending is to keep a tight grip on your credit. That means the buy now, pay later option should be a no and credit card spending should be limited.
After making a plan, try these tips for staying on budget:
- Make a list
- Research price history
- Curb impulse shopping. If you can’t, shop online only… but not on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
You can also get some things for free with online communities like Buy Nothing. You can post something you want to give away and also get things others post. Everything is indeed free.
