The Greatest Television Shows Of All Time Are…
Ladies and gentlemen, start your argument engines!
There’s a new BBC Culture poll, and it’s clocked what they say are the “Best Television Series of the 21st Century.” Who’d they ask – and how was this tallied?
- There were 206 voters polled in all – 100 women, 104 men, and two non-binary.
- The voters came from 43 countries, but the winners are mainly English language programs.
- Each respondent listed their 10 favorite TV series of the 21st Century, and they were scored and ranked.
And while you can see the top ten below and the entire list HERE, we’ll tell you off the top that the winner wasn’t even a close call. The number one series is the HBO series, “The Wire,” which aired from 2002 – 2008. It was the favorite for nearly a quarter of those polled ranking it in first place as the single greatest TV show of the 21st century…and nearly half listing it somewhere in their top 10.
