A man who climbed up a tree in Springfield Gardens, Queens in New York on Wednesday to avoid police is still up there at last check.
Police and family have tried to coax the 44-year-old down, but instead, he just climbed to another tree to keep them at bay. Police were called to a home on 145th Avenue Wednesday after the man had argued with his family and had threatened his mother.
When he saw officers, he took off up a nearby tree and has been up in the tree for almost two full days now. Police say they can wait him out. Neighbors say they have seen the man climb up trees before.
And yes, he slept up there.
