Charlotte is welcoming a new restaurant. Calle Sol a new Latin cafe and cevicheria is opening in Plaza Midwood today, July 6th. You will find it nestled in the former NC Red location on Thomas Avenue. Calle Sol is the newest offering from Frank Schibelli, think Mama Ricottas, Paco's Tacos and Tequila, and Midwood Smokehouse. Executive Chef Paul Cruz will build upon the flavors inspired by his grandmother's El Salvadorian cooking.
Menu highlights include Cuban Fried Rice, Picadillo, Arroz Con Pollo, and multiple varieties of a Cuban sandwich. Just to name a few. There is also an allergy menu and a cocktail menu. The lunch menu will be served from a "to-go window" and offer affordable options. The dinner menu is more adventurous.

Hours: Hours will initially be 4-10 pm on Sunday through Thursday and 4-11 pm on Friday and Saturday with lunch coming soon.
