Bridezilla Tells Bridesmaids “Hit The Gym” If Not Size Eight
A bridesmaid says she’s dropping out of a wedding after the bride put some strict demands on her bridal party. In a post to Reddit’s “Choosing Beggars” section – a thread that shares stories about “people who are being way too picky when begging for things,” she shares the bridezilla’s over-the-top expectations, starting with telling them they may have to lose weight to participate in the wedding.
In the post, she shares screenshots allegedly from the bride, where she gets specific about what size she expects her attendants to be. “I handpicked all the dresses [for the bridesmaids] that will be there and they will all be a size eight. So if you’re not a size eight I recommend hitting the gym,” the screenshot reads. “No offense to anyone but I have had this planned since I was in diapers and want it perfect.”
This bridesmaid explains that she’s out because she’s a “size 12 with no plans on dropping to a size 8 by December.” But size isn’t the bride’s only demand, she also expects the bridesmaids to all have shoulder-length straight hair, telling them, “If your hair is short, get extensions.” Fake tans and kids are also not allowed at her nuptials, but the real kicker? The bride expects everyone in her bridal party to chip in for her honeymoon, writing that she’ll be sending her Venmo and Cash App to “the ones who haven’t paid the $500 donation towards the honeymoon in Hawaii.”
