Habits You Do Every Day That Are Prematurely Aging You
Since you’re probably hoping to age gracefully you should know you’re probably not nailing it. Sure you drink plenty of water and moisturize but the thing is there are many small habits you do that are adding up. Here are the biggest things to avoid to stop prematurely aging yourself.
- Keeping your mind busy. You really need to do a lot less #grinding and a lot more #unwinding. Meditation and mindfulness should be a part of your routine if you want to reduce your stress, boost your self-esteem, and keep on feeling young.
- Too much physical inactivity. Studies show “exercise has vast beneficial effects on a multitude of organs and body systems and delays aging-associated losses in cognitive function, osteoporosis, insulin resistance, atherosclerosis, certain site-specific cancers, depression, and immunity.” If you were waiting for something to inspire you to get back into the exercise routine you let go of last year, you’re welcome.
- Not getting enough sleep. Doctors don’t say get 7-9 hours of sleep because they’re in the pocket of ‘Big Pillow.’ They know that sleep deprivation inhibits your immune system and can lead to things like heart failure, anxiety, erratic blood pressure, digestive problems, and memory loss. Instead of counting sheep to fall asleep, count the ailments you’ll get if you don’t start taking sleep seriously.
