Explore The Secret Gardens Of Fourth Ward With This Self-Guided Tour
Whether you’re brand new to the Charlotte area like me, or you’ve been living here for a while, I bet you’ll love this self-guided tour.
It explores the outdoor spaces, like gardens and courtyards, in the historic Fourth Ward that are rarely open to the public. The tour also covers public art and historic buildings.
The tours will be happening May 22nd-23rd from 12pm-4pm each day. You can choose to either walk through it or ride on an electric-powered Charlotte Joy Ride bike.
Ticket Info
You will need to buy a ticket if you’re interested. Admission includes:
- food and drink tastings throughout the tour
- the use of a Joy Ride if you’d prefer to bike instead of walk
- and of course the admission to all the private outdoor spaces covered in the tour
You’ll also receive a tour guidebook when you first arrive.
Tickets are $30 each for day-specific tours, or you can purchase a $40 Weekend Flex ticket that you can use either day (Saturday or Sunday).
Organizers of the event are saying tickets go fast so buy them sooner than later if you know you’d like to go.
How to Check-In
Shortly before the tour starts, you’ll need to check in to receive your tour guidebook. You’ll do this at the ticket booth in Fourth Ward located on the corner of West 9th and North Poplar streets.
You can also purchase same-day tickets there if there are any left.

I’m really sad that I’ll be out of town when the tours are happening, but if you end up going, I’d really love to hear about it! Email me at lexi@kiss951.com.
