LIST: 5 Fun Places In CLT Your Kids, No Matter How Old, Will Love To Visit
As a kid at heart who just recently moved to the Queen City, I have done extensive research into fun places to visit around Charlotte. Many of these places would be entertaining for any kid at any age to go to. Some of them are more educational, while others will be more like fun exercise that will wear your kids out. The best 5, in no particular order, I’ve listed below.
Sky Zone Trampoline Park
Exercise, Good for Rainy Days, Games
Price Range: $$ – $15/60min, $20/90min, $25/120min PLUS $4 SkySocks
Safety Info: Masks Required By Everyone At All Times
Address: 7325 Smith Corners Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28269 OR 10200 Centrum Pkwy Pineville, NC 28134
It’s just as fun as it sounds! SkyZone is a full indoor trampoline park that offers attractions like trampoline basketball, a drop zone, ultimate trampoline dodgeball, and a ninja warrior course! This place is perfect if you have kids with lots of energy. They’ll tire themselves out in no time.
Discovery Place Science

Safety Info: Masks Required By Everyone 2+, Temperature Checks On Arrival
Address: 301 N Tryon St. Charlotte, NC 28202
The ideal museum made just for kids! There are usually lots of hands-on activities and ways to learn about science. *However, this museum is just starting to open back up since closing down for COVID-19, so there may be some limitations to how many hands-on things will be offered.
The Speedpark
Outdoors, GoKarts, Mini Golf
Price Range: $-$$ – Depends how much you want to do
Safety Info: Masks and Social Distancing Encouraged, But Not Required
Address: 8461 Concord Mills Blvd. Concord, NC 28027
This is a place where the whole family can have fun. They’ve got mini-golf, go-karts, a giant slide, bungee jumping, and a spider climb! Any kid is going to have fun here. And I see most parents also having a blast!
The Lazy 5 Ranch
Educational, Zoo Animals, Wagon Rides
Price Range: $ – $8/Kids 2-11, $11/Adults for Drive Through — NO Credit/Debit Cards
Safety Info: With Drive Through experience, it is naturally socially distanced.

The Lazy 5 Ranch is a drive-through zoo! And they have some really cool animals: giraffes, birds, ducks, cattle, deer, elk, antelope, sheep, goats, potbellied pigs, kangaroos, camels, llamas, horses, zebras, and more!
Sea Life
Educational, Aquarium, Underwater Tunnel
Price Range: $$$ – $17.95 per person when you buy online
Safety Info: Masks Required For Everyone Ages 5+
Address: 8111 Concord Mills Blvd. Concord, North Carolina 28027
As far as I know, Sea Life is the only aquarium around Charlotte! And they seem to have a wide selection of creatures that your family can observe and learn about. Some of these creatures include turtles, sharks, jellyfish, stingrays, seahorses, and clownfish! They do have a touch pool, but again, this might be closed due to COVID-19 precautions.
What’s the first place you’re planning on going? 🙂
