Hundreds Of Couples Line-Up To Marry On Unique Date 4/3/21
This Easter weekend, love was in the air in Las Vegas. Always a popular destination for weddings, couples in Sin City were even more eager than usual to tie the knot on Saturday and it’s all because of the date. Saturday was April 3rd, 2021, which means the date was 4/3/21 and lots of people wanted it for their wedding date.
Officials at the Clark County Marriage Bureau in Vegas say nearly 700 couples obtained licenses for the Saturday’s date. With busier than normal traffic, the bureau was packed and soon-to-be newlyweds were willing to stand in line so they could get their chance to tie the knot on the countdown date. The clerk’s office even marked the occasion with keepsake marriage certificates.
While April is always busy for weddings, this date was even more in demand. County clerk Lynn Goya explains, “Specialty dates like 4/3/21 are always immensely popular.” Nearly 27-hundred couples said “I do” on 10/10/10, more than 18-hundred couples walked down the aisle on 12.12.12 and 3,125 got married on 11/11/11. So what has been THE most popular date so far? Goya says that was 7/7/7, when 4,492 marriages took place in Vegas.
