You Can Now Spend Over 40 Mins On Zoom During Thanksgiving
With top health experts like Dr. Anthony Fauci strongly urging people to forgo holiday gatherings with loved ones during the pandemic, many are opting to settle in for a quiet meal at home with members of their household only, perhaps with plans to hold a Zoom call with relatives far and near. Well, the fine folks at Zoom want to show their gratitude so for Thanksgiving Day only, they’re nixing that 40-minute call limit on free accounts.
The unlimited Zoom calling will run from 12:00 a.m. on November 26 through 6:00 a.m. on November 27, giving users 30 hours of endless gabbing with family and friends. It’s a true blessing and may likely go a long way in helping people make the decision to substitute a digital gathering for a traditional, in-person affair. It’s also a pretty powerful statement about the bizarre and uncharted territory we’re entering this holiday season.
As a thank you to our customers, we will be lifting the 40-minute limit for all meetings globally from midnight ET on Nov. 26 through 6 a.m. ET on Nov. 27 so your family gatherings don't get cut short. ❤️🏡 #ZoomTogether pic.twitter.com/aubsH0tfxG
