New York Adds Testing Restrictions To Visitors
As COVID-19 cases spike, one state isn’t taking any chances.
New York is trading in its coronavirus travel advisory list for new guidelines. Governor Andrew Cuomo made the announcement Saturday, saying anyone traveling to New York will have to test negative for coronavirus before entering the state, with an exception to New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.
The regulations go into effect on Wednesday, which means travelers have to prove they’ve tested negative for the virus upon entry, quarantine for three days, and then take another coronavirus test.
It’s unclear how these new rules will be enforced.
