“Hocus Pocus” Wine Is Here For Halloween
Halloween is just over a month away and now there are two new “Hocus Pocus” wines you can sip while celebrating the holiday. Eliqs Beverage & Design shop is teaming up with organic wine maker Besa mi Vino for two varieties – a rosé and a white wine – inspired by the witchy 1993 movie. And it’s raising money for a good cause – the sales of the vino benefit community gardens and parks in New York City.
The Hocus Pocus x Besa x Eliqs Rosé comes in blood-red cans, and each one features the face of a different Sanderson sister. The Winifred – aka Bette Midler’s character – can reads, “I put a spell on you, and now you’re wine!” As for the wine itself, it’s described as “bright and lightly bubbly with flavors of cherry, dried roses, and lychee.” The Hocus Pocus x Besa x Eliqs White Wine comes in dark blue cans decorated with images of all three witches in front of a full moon. And the white wine has “fragrant aromas with a smooth blend between dry and sweet.”
All three Sanderson sisters are reuniting this Halloween for a fundraiser, which may be the perfect occasion to crack open your “Hocus Pocus” wine. Every year, Midler hosts a Hulaween gala to raise money for the New York Restoration Project and this year, she’s got her movie sidekicks Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy joining her for the virtual event on Friday, October 30th.
