There’s A Totally Rad New 1980s American Girl Doll
American Girl has just released a new doll and if you grew up in the 80s, she’s a blast from your past. Courtney Moore is a 1980s-themed doll that has a rad backstory and nostalgic outfits and accessories many of us remember from our childhoods, like a mini Caboodle, Lip Smackers lip gloss and Care Bear pajamas and sleeping bag.
Courtney comes dressed in a denim skirt and an off the shoulder crop top with a graphic logo on the front and a side ponytail to finish off her look. She’s a video game fan and loves to play Pac-Man at the arcade in her local shopping mall in California and her mom is running for mayor.
The doll is cool, but it’s all the accessories that you can get for her that your inner child will really want. There’s a doll-size Pac-Man arcade game that “plays like the real thing” for $150, an acid-washed jean jacket, scrunchies to go in the Caboodle kit, and a Sleepover Accessory Set that includes a boom box that really plays songs on her four cassette tapes. Of course all of that costs extra, so if your kid – or you – needs to own these, get ready to pay up.
