Woman Details Awful Date With Cheapskate
Bad dates are no fun to live through, but they do make good stories to entertain the rest of us. This one comes from a single woman in NYC who says she met her date, Andrew, on Bumble and after chatting with him, she decided to meet him for drinks at a local bar after work one evening. Little did she know, it would end up being “the most terrible date ever.”
First of all, he was late. She was standing outside the wine bar at 8pm on the dot and he showed up 45 minutes later, which was all because he refused to spend $5 on a parking lot next door. Just as she was about to leave, Andrew arrived sporting ripped cargo shorts, a fluorescent green tank top and a puka shell necklace, with a bottle of wine under his arm. And when he was told the wine bar was no longer B.Y.O.B because they got their liquor license, he was not happy and complained that it’s the only reason he chose that bar.
The woman says he became “visibly irritated” at the news and after pleading with the bartender to open the bottle, he gave up and ordered a beer. But then Andrew proceeded to try to open the bottle under the tablecloth and fumbled with it until the manager forced him to stop and they had a heated exchange. At this point, she was over it and when their bill arrived and he wouldn’t acknowledge it, she threw down her cash to bring the mess an end. As they parted ways, he suggested they see each other again. Yeah. No.
