The coronavirus crisis is hitting a new tipping point in the nation’s three hot spot states as they start to shut down again.
As that happens, other states are taking note and moving to prevent a backslide. While a thousand health care professionals signed a letter asking the governor of Arizona to issue stay-at-home orders, he’s made other moves. Instead, Doug Ducey is closing bars, gyms, movie theaters, and water parks.
Bars are also closed in Texas where at least four counties are asking for permission to issue their own lockdown. Florida has taken action on bars as well, even closing some beaches for the July 4th weekend.
And last night, Jacksonville, the new host of the RNC Convention in August, became the latest in the city to require wearing masks.
