Feel Good Story: Bridal Shop Giving Away 75 Wedding Dresses
One bridal shop is doing something to help out brides-to-be working on the front lines in hospitals. Ava Clara Couture Bridal is having a wedding gown giveaway for medical professionals in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. They’ll be giving 75 lucky winners a free wedding dress to healthcare workers to show their support for their hard work.
To qualify for the giveaway, brides-to-be must be currently working in the healthcare field at a healthcare facility with coronavirus-related cases. They can register on the shop’s website by Friday, April 24th and winners will be chosen based on their field history as well as their answers to a short questionnaire. Winners will get their free dress at an in-store event on August 16th (God Willing!).
Ava Clara Couture Bridal president Alex Fleear says the store has lost 80% of monthly revenue and has had to cut down on staff and employee hours since non-essential businesses were ordered to close last month. But she says they’re trying to focus on the good by organizing this event. “We couldn’t think of a more worthy group of women to receive these free wedding gowns than the brave ladies who are risking their lives every day to help save ours.”
