Amazon Yanks Fake Coronavirus Products
Buyer beware! The coronavirus is bringing out bogus merchandise in droves.
Amazon has pulled more the one million fake and overpriced coronavirus items. Among the items were quickie “cures” for the virus. Meanwhile, hand sanitizer and surgical masks have shot up in price.
The online retail giant says of price gouging, “there’s no room for price gouging on Amazon.”
As coronavirus fear spreads, social media is also trying to get a handle on things. Facebook is also combing through the site for false or misleading information.
