INTERN’S CORNER | Man Does a Live Stream of Himself Sleeping and Makes Big Money
A Chinese actor has gone viral on the Chinese version of Tik-Tok for streaming himself sleeping. The man who goes by Yuansan made the stream to confirm if he snores in his sleep at night and when he woke up he was surprised to see that he suddenly had almost 800,000 new followers on his channel so he started doing it more and more then got himself up to 18.5 million viewers and almost one million followers. Most of the things that get streamed are people playing video games which has become such a big thing people get paid good money depending on how popular the streamer is. Watching someone stream themselves playing a game kinda makes sense to me but watching a stream of someone just sleeping is just plain weird, in my opinion.
Are you seriously so bored that you want to watch someone sleep? Now I know someone might argue that watching someone play a video game is boring or there is no sense in it but you are at least watching something interesting and not just someone sleeping. Now Yuansan has offered other kind of content but his viewers only seem to like seeing him sleep and apparently his viewers will give him virtual gifts that are worth around $11,000 as tips. So this man is getting paid around $11,000 just to sleep, it would be weird to have a bunch of people tune in to watch you sleep but $11,000 is $11,000 I don’t have.
