Who knew that Will Ferrell and I had something in common? We have BOTH tried and regretted partaking in a hot sauce challenge.
Will Ferrell is a comedy icon with a storied career in TV and film that spans decades, but how is he with spicy food? While Will has been promoting his new movie “Downhill” he stopped by “The Hot Ones” to take a stab at the famous challenge, but much like myself says that he regretted doing it.
The Carolina Reaper is one of the hottest peppers on the market, and since I love hot sauce, the boys dared me to try a hot sauce challenge of our own, here in the studio. South Carolina local and creator of the Carolina Reaper Ed Currie came to our Beasley Media Group Studios to put my love of hot sauce to the test. Up until that point in my life, I would go out to eat and tell the waiter “Make it so hot you think I can’t eat it”. I even traveled to Charleston to take a spicy tuna challenge while I was an NBA dancer and had to sign a waiver to participate.
As you can imagine, I thought I had this hot sauce challenge in the bag. Well, things didn’t go quite the way I thought they would go.
