Do You Go 0 To 100? It’s Okay, Drama Queen, It’s in your DNA
It’s time for me to come clean. I’m prepared to admit my faults. I go zero to one hundred all the time. Some may say that I’m a drama queen. I realized my ludicrous actions last night when my mom told me that my Dad was in bed, sick and throwing up. Instead of asking if he had the flu, which is possible, I asked if the coronavirus made its way to Virginia, which is impossible.
Now to be clear, the majority of the time I do it for my own amusement. I don’t actually think my father has been in contact with someone who has the scary disease that is spreading across the world. I am a well-balanced and usually self-aware person. I don’t know where the drama side of me came from. There is supposedly a drama queen gene, according to science, but my parents aren’t as dramatic.
Ironically, I used to be a 911 dispatcher. I surprisingly can not only remain calm in crisis, but make everyone else calm. However for the mundane or boring things, I like to spice them up. I do believe there are levels to being a drama queen. I’m not Kardashian level drama queen where I instigate issues out of nothing and misinterpret what people say, however if I walk outside and it’s really cold I’ll make a comment like “I’m being slapped in the face by mother nature”.
See, I’m not that bad. However even if I was, it’s okay. Science says it’s in your DNA. It’s literally who you are.
